Everglades National Park

This is a must see. Also known as the “river of grass”, the Everglades is a 1.5 million acre national park. There are 3 main entrances - we recommend the Shark Valley entrance as the closest to Pompano Beach. Shark Valley Visitor Center offers educational displays, a park video and informational brochures. Books, postcards, and other souvenirs are available for purchase in the gift store. Guided tram tours, bicycle rentals, snacks and soft drinks are available.
