The Beach at Pompano Beach

Home to the finest beach in Broward County, Pompano Beach is the quintessential Florida beach. Running approximately 3.5 miles in length along the eastern coast, our beach is a wide expanse of golden sand bordered on the north by the Hillsboro Inlet and on the South our neighboring city of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.

The beach is open 365 days a year. 

Main Public Beach: Atlantic Boulevard and Pompano Beach Boulevard running north for several blocks. Swimming areas are guarded seven (7) days a week by the beach patrol from 9.00am to 4.45pm. Look for swimming conditions posted on the lifeguard stands.

Facilities: restrooms, showers, picnic shelters and tables, barbecue grills, an outdoor gym and children’s playground are located on the beach

Atlantic Boulevard Surface lot: 200+ spaces with handicapped spaces
Pier Parking Garage: 663 spaces
Pompano Beach Boulevard: 100+ spaces with handicapped, loading zones and electric charging stations

North Ocean Park: at NE 16th Street and the ocean. This beach has the best views of the lighthouse and has a kite surfing friendly area. If you’re a fan or have never seen kite surfing – it’s exciting to watch.

Other Public Beach Access: 2nd Street, 4th Street, 6th Street, 8th Street and 13th Street*

BEACH PARKING: All parking space fees vary by season, off-season and holiday/special event pricing and location. Cost is $1.25 – $2.75 per hour and is paid at common meters. Payment can be made in cash, credit/debit card and via Passport Parking app.

*Note: 13th Street parking is by parking app only.
